Our design thinking programs begin with abstract thinking. Abstract thinking fosters imagination and innovation, helping students to visualize different possibilities and outcomes. It also enhances their ability to grasp academic subjects like mathematics, science, and literature, where conceptual understanding is key.
GG & POP prototype lab is where ideas thrive. Our team works with students to produce a hand designed eco-friendly prototypes. We focus on the power of raw imagination and tactile creativity without technology. Everyone leaves our design lab with a prototype of their design in hand.
We are developing the next generation of designers by:
- teaching the essentials of creative ideation
- enabling STEM learning through experiementation
- modeling sustainable recycling in action
- building ownership through prototyping
Our high school programs cater to students interested in pursuing careers in art and design. Our curriculum aims to inspire and equip high school students with the essential skills and knowledge in various design disciplines as well as assist with application materials that require artistic portfolios.
More broadly, our program focuses on the mindset of the next generation of creators by teaching them to embrace a non-judgmental approach to idea generation and encouraging the exploration of unconventional solutions. They will be able to demonstrate a willingness to take calculated risks in exploring new ideas during the design process and view failures as valuable learning opportunities, using feedback from unsuccessful prototypes to inform future iterations.
