BLACK MEN EVERYWHERE! is a one-man performance by artist Jinho “Piper” Ferreira, set to premiere in New York City at GG & POP Institute. This powerful production challenges perceptions and sparks vital conversations around race, justice, and identity.

The narrative centers on a provocative hypothetical: What if police officers acquitted of killing unarmed Black individuals began turning up dead themselves? Drawing from his own life and a transformative cross-country Black history tour, Ferreira crafted this bold follow-up to his acclaimed solo play Cops and Robbers. “My family and I embarked on a journey to explore our history as Black people in this country,” Ferreira shares. “The experience ignited a creative spark within me.”

In BLACK MEN EVERYWHERE!, Ferreira brings 21 characters to life in a gripping 60-minute performance. Exploring themes of revolution, betrayal, and love, the play offers a deeply moving reflection on the Black experience in America. The performance is accompanied by artwork from Nedra T. Williams, a priestess of Olokun, whose evocative pieces honor the enduring impact of Black women in history and culture.

“I wrote this play for Black men, and for everyone who stands in solidarity with us,” says Ferreira. “It’s a narrative that celebrates our resilience and acknowledges the essential role of Black women in our collective journey.”
